   Pat, they are stored in Local Storage of extension. I do not know where specifically this but you can search somewhere in:
   C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Opera\Opera
   or in
   C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Opera

   I hope you’re gonna restore it.

   For me it would be great if the extension also saved the scroll position (?? sorry not how how to name at) of the page.

   Hello.
   The extension on my computer won’t work. The ‘to read’ icon is still available in the top right corner of Opera, but when I click on it, there appears a new window (just for a split of a second). And it doesn’t allow to work with the extension. I managed to read in this window that there’s something, connected with security sertificates for one of the sites I recently visited. But again, this window disappears right away and you can’t press anything there. I tried reinstalling the extension as well as the whole browser — no result.
   How can it be fixed? Because I literally can’t imagine using Internet without your extension.

   Can you please clicl Ctrl+shift+o and switch to javascript, there should be some errors present. If so, please send it to me.

   Nick, there is a selection box where you can switch to “JavaScript” errors only.

   You can also clear the log, and then click on the widget.

    Actually, I didn’t. Yesterday it worked for a while, so I thought it was ok, but when I tried today – the same thing happened.
    I figured out, that it works only after I accept the security sertificates for this site: https://19-00.ru/ (yep, I’m Russian . Don’t understand why so, because it used to work properly in any conditions before I happened to visit this bloody site.

    klopot – z poprzedniej wersji wyeksportowalem zapisane strony “do pliku”, plik jest bez rozszerzenia, nie jest pusty (oczywiscie), “import -> wybierz” -> wskazuje ten plik i… nic do nowej wersji nie importuje sie.
    Jak to z sukcesem wykonac?

    (przed chwila na probe wykonalem eksport/import w najnowszej wersji rozszerzenia – nie dziala, widocznie w ogole cos zle robie; CO?)

    gratuluje dzisiaj w nocy zamiescilem tutaj opis problemu – teraz ani sladu po problemie, autor wykasowal wpis. nawet usmialem sie. czegos takiego jeszcze nie widzialem.

    Każdy komentarz automatycznie trafia do moderacji (z powodu licznych spam-komentarzy), więc nigdy nie był opublikowany.

    dzieki za chec przyjrzenia sie sprawie, sorry za nerwowosc,ale kto moze pomoc, jesli nie Ty

    tzn. rozumiem, ze to powinno bez pudla dzialac,ów import/eksport? u mnie nie dziala, nie dziala nawet gdy teraz w najn. wersje probnie wpisalem jeden adres, potem eksport, wykasowalem z rozszerzenia i chcialem zaimportowac – do licha mam w tamtym sierocym pliku okolo 200 b.ciekawych stron, nie mam ochoty pozegnac sie z nimi, czy na piechote wyłuskiwac po jednej ze zrodla pliku…
    Jesli nie ma przeciwwskazan – mozesz oczywiscie na moj adres mail, wklepalem w okienko.
    dzieki, czekam niecierpliwie.

    ps. to zapewne nie ma znaczenia, ale jednakowoz podaję: u mnie opera 11.01.

    I’m havng a problem saving To-read file, i.e., it won’t save and the file size listed in the Save dialog box is huge.

    All of a sudden, i.e., one day to the next, the To-Read “default.*” file won’t save and it shows an enormous number of GBs in the Save dialog box, both with 12 beta and 11.62. A clean install of Opera 12 didn’t work either, neither with the old extension or starting anew; i.e., it just won’t save. I can understand weird things can happen with developmental builds, but happening with 11.62 leaves me puzzled. Any ideas? I had 75 items in the extension.

    Follow up: I just copied a backup file and the save box now shows as 19kb in parentheses, but it still save. I click Save, the list jumps in the box like something has been added, but it’s not there.

    I’ve just uploaded new version to Opera Addons site.
    You can grab it from here: http://greenpath.pl/wp-content/uploads/to-read-sites-4.1-2.oex or wait for automatic update.

    The problem with export is because of some changes in Opera since (I guess) 11.62. By now you need to save file manually after clicking export.

    The new version should also fix problem with “undefined” site on the list of sites.

    rozumiem,ze moim problemem z importem raczej nie zajales sie…. szkoda. Bo ta najnowsza wersja 4.1.2 jest tak samo glucha na import pliku (pochodzi z wersji 3.0.2) jak i 4.1.1, ze nie wspomne o wersji 3.0.2.

    Co jest nie tak? W tej najnowszej wersji mam to samo. zapamietuje na probe jedna www, robie eksport reczny do txt, wymazuje te www z rozszerzenia, robie “importuj” i… gluchota, nie powraca zapisana www.
    co jest?

    U mnie import działa bez problemu.

    Nie działał poprawnie eksport i to było powodem problemów z importem uprzednio wyeksportowanych danych. Problem ten został naprawiony.

    Michal – thanks but it doesn’t quite work:

    11.62 – the new file link you gave is seen as a .zip not an .oex

    12 beta – the new file seems to install correctly, but clicking Export opens an Opera window showing to a data:text/plain;chars… file, i.e., a one-line text file with all the entries. Is there something I need to change in Windows 7 or Opera file associations to make this work?

    Gene, just change the extension to oex.

    Please save the data shown after clicking export (with Ctrl+c).

    Btw. Why don’t you use Opera Link to backup your data?

    Ok, here’s what I found:

    12 beta – from the data page, use Save As and any type – *.* to save to disk

    11.62 – It’s a bit tricky. Change file extension to .oex, then “Open with” Opera 11.62 (otherwise opens 12, which is the default).

    I thought Opera Link is for syncing with mobile devices and other computers. I have a laptop for traveling and emergencies, but mainly use a single desktop. Is there another way to use Link with a single computer (multiple HDDs)? Thanks.

    1) taking the list between Opera versions
    2) just installed new mobo/cpu and ssd and so had to do clean install of everything, sometimes more than once given problems with x64 versions of 12

    Gene, anyway you can (If you’re not afraid of it:P) sync with Link between two browsers on the same PC.

    Back to your problem, is it solved?
    Does the import work for you?
    Are there any problems with manually saving exported data (when it appears after clicking “export button”)?

    The Opera 12 may be unstable if it comes to extensions, because they’re changing something in extensions API. I’ll try to follow the changes and after final release I’ll check whether I can upgrade an extension to avoid such a problems in future.

    Honestly, I’ve been quite busy lately and unfortunately I didn’t have much time to spend on this extension.

    I’m very glad I caught you at the right moment to get the export problem solved!It’s not simple like before, but between your hint, a google search and and a little Windows know how I got it done.

    My post three back explains what I had to do. The way I saved (exported) with 12 beta is also the way to save with 11.62. The 11.62 item gives the steps I had to use to install the extension with that version. 12 does it the normal way.

    I wasn’t aware that one could sync between browser versions. Have to look at that. Thanks.
